Flaig + Hommel Cold Formed Parts The Economical Alternative to Milled Parts! |
In today's market, precision parts - particularly in high-tech sectors such as the automotive industry, aviation or mechanical engineering - are facing continuous pricing pressure. With a view of noticeable cost-savings compared to the traditional manufacture of turned parts, and thereby offers completely new prospects for the price-conscious buyer.
Depending on batch size and component, notable cost-savings can be achieved on batches starting from 100,000 pieces. The technique is suitable for a number of steels such as construction steels, heat-treated steels, case-hardened steels, special purpose steels, stainless steels and heat-resistant steels as well as aluminium and copper.
We offer highest precision: Even for precision parts with tolerances of up to 0.025 mm in diametre and lenths of up to 0.2 mm, the Flaig + Hommel cold forming method is perfectly suitable.

Production
- 14 state of the art cold forming presses are the basis for adherence to delivery dates even with largest batch sizes.
- Or technicians and machine operators have decades of experience. Their experience in combination with a consistent quality assurance system are our factors for your success.

Design Our state of the art design department works with the CAD software ProEngineer which is compatible with CATIA, the software commonly used in the automotive industry. This means that we can often do without time-consuming project discussions. It is often enough to just send us a draft containing your relevant product data which our team will then analyse and from which we will develop the design drawing of the product including the appropriate production method. Proposals are being presented via electronic data interchange which means that solutions can be put into practice notably quicker.
Prototyping The early application of the achievement potential of all partners involved continuously gains importance during the development process of new products. Where suppliers used to not get involved in the innovation process until after a contract has been awarded, our team today places great importance on the suppliers' involvement in the innovation process right from the start of a project. This allows us to exploit the full optimisation potential where choice of material and production method is concerned. Already during the development phase our team creates close-to-production prototypes suitable for endurance test under real life conditions. The result is a vastly accelerated innovation process with the added benefit of cost-optimisation.
